Choosing Titan Paint Sprayers

Air Spray Vs. Airless
First, you'll want to decide if you want an air powered sprayer or an airless type. Airless sprayers are more expensive and are usually used in commercial applications, but they provide better penetration, a thick and uniform coating, good adhesion and they don't need much thinner. That means drying time is faster and there's less environmental contamination from solvents. However, an airless sprayer might be more machine than you need for a small job.

Volume
The volume of paint a sprayer can use is also of importance. Smaller, handheld sprayers may accommodate only a quart or so of paint at a time. For a little job, this isn't really a problem, but constantly having to refill a small sprayer when you're painting something larger can be really annoying. Think about volume when you choose a sprayer.

Pressure
Likewise, you're also going to need to consider pressure. A high pressure sprayer delivers more paint, more quickly. It's also often more expensive, requires more power to run and may be harder to control. Once again, for big jobs, these are perfect. They may bee too much sprayer for a smaller project.

Ease of Use
Look at how easy a sprayer is to use, especially if you don't have a lot of experience with them. A few feature changes can make the difference between a simple sprayer and one that's frustrating to operate.

Cordless or Corded
A corded sprayer is easy to plug in and use right away, but a cordless one (battery operated) will have less power. Cords can limit your mobility, as well.

Weight
How heavy is the sprayer? Moving the main unit and holding the spray gun can get tiring after a while if it's particularly heavy.

Versatility
Find out if this is a sprayer that can handle more than one kind of paint, if it needs a lot of thinning, and if it can managed textured finishes, if you're going to need that kind of functionality. On the other hand, a simple sprayer may be all you require for basic jobs.

Portability
Your sprayer will need to be mobile. The smallest ones are handheld, and the largest often come on wheeled carts that make them easier to move, but medium sized sprayers can be difficult to move around. See if the sprayer is light enough to carry or comes with wheels to improve portability before you buy or rent.

All of these features are part of the Titan Paint Sprayer lineup.
