Product Description
This system is designed to provide a fine finish on wood and metal surfaces. The turbine provides more power and longer life than the HV2000 series systems for use in commercial applications that utilize a wide variety of coatings. The HV2500 is appropriate for lacquers, stains, enamels, and other solvent based materials with flash points higher than 99 degrees Fahrenheit. Paints and solvents that contain hydrogenated hydrocarbons should not be used with this system. It can also spray latex and water borne coatings, some thinning may be required. The system comes complete with turbine, stub hose, 25 foot air hose, semi-professional spray gun equipped with all purpose material fluid set, gun wrench, thin material fluid set, cleaning brush, viscosity stick and cone strainers.

Great HVLP Sprayer   Review Date: June 21, 2006 Reviewer: Mark Novak, Seattle WA Bought the CH HV2500 to paint all the cabinets in my house. Had never used a sprayer before. Took me six days to prepare the cabinets (remove hardware, wash, sand, prime, tape off face etc), and only about three hours to spray the whole job, 62 cabinets. I sprayed acrylic latex. The hardest part was in getting this thick paint thinned down to the correct viscosity. I also used Floetrol to help the latex lay flat. Once I discovered the correct mix, the CH HV2500 put on a mirror-like finish. I am very happy with this product. great hvlp sprayer   Review Date: February 23, 2006 Reviewer: Brian V. I have used a variety of HVLP sprayers and this unit, does just fine with all types of finishes when used properly. I have all the needle/nozzle sets (all purpose, thin and thick material) and I have no complaints when spraying various finishes (stains, latex, water/oil based clear-coats). The trick is knowing which tip to use and how to thin the material properly. When done right, this unit certainly gets the job done. I had never used anything like this before but I decided to give it a try with the kitchen cabinets that I was building. I was very apprehensive about my ability to use it correctly, but I was actually amazed at how smooth of a finish I was able to get with it. A professional job could not look any better... I used this solely with Minwax oil based satin finish polyurethane, which was of the correct viscosity straight out of the can. I consider the cleanup of the gun to be much easier than cleaning out a paint brush, even though I used an oil based product with it. As far as over spray goes, there still will be quite a bit, so cover everything up well around the area you are spraying in. If you are debating on whether to spray or not, and you have a lot of material to cover, I would highly recommend using this sprayer, as I know that it saved me many days of brushing and I would have never got as smooth of a job without this. However, you really have to practice to get used to the spray pattern that is established. It's hard to see the finished product unless you get the light just right. There are darker streaks at the middle of the spray than at the outskirts of the pass. I used semi-gloss Sherwin-Williams paint and in most cases it covers beautifullly. I also diluted the paint with a water based conditioner and this seemed to help allow the paint to spread without drying to rapidly. The gun is really easy to clean and the most difficult thing is to make sure the paint is the right consistency for spraying.
